Community Involvement

Community involvement is a requirement to the provision of any facility and teachers, learners and other community leaders must be involved in it's establishment. It is also required that the facility be made available out of school hours to the local community for the purposes of computer literacy training, and when Internet access is available, as an Internet Café.

Teacher and Administrator Training

Training provided to the teachers, administrators and other interested parties includes the maintenance and management of the server; assembly, maintenance and repair of the workstations; installation of data cabling and utilisation of the included software packages.

Maintenance and Support

As the teachers, administrators, learners and any other interested parties are equipped with the skills to maintain and support the facility, only second level support is provided by eTux volunteers. eTux does, however, ensure that the school and community is kept up to date with the latest revisions of software and each facility will receive major software upgrades, facilitated by eTux volunteers, every 18 to 24 months.
